German soccer great Lothar Matthaeus picked Spain before the idea of Brazil and Argentina, as her favorite team to win the World Cup held in South Africa from 11 June to 11 July. Uncover FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour in his first stop in Kolkata; Matthaeus said Spain has excellent company in their ranks. They have the whole thing in them, and dramatis personae that can make a difference. ”

The program was part of the trip prepared by the Federation Internationals de Football Association (FIFA or the International Football Association), soccer’s leading body, to take the award around 86 countries to give football fans a chance to see the World Cup trophy. The tour began its flight from FIFA head office in Zurich 21 September 2009 and ends in South Africa, May 4, 2010. This was the first time that FIFA World Cup trophy was brought to the country to Kolkata. The three West Bengal filing cabinet ministers purportedly breached FIFA rules on Friday, when the trophy was unveiled in the City of Joy.

Matthäus, the first footballer to receive the FIFA Player of the Year Award in 1991, led Germany to a historic 1990 World Cup win against Maradona’s Argentina, but Matthäus Maradona hailed as the maximum footballer in his time. Matthäus said: “(Diego) Maradona was in his time the best player, particularly in World Cup 1986th I think without Maradona, Argentina may never win the World Cup. In 1990, Italy was a modest different because Maradona not play at the maximum level in 1986. “”So it was easier for us to win the final against Argentina, I played dedicated football in 1979 and 2000, and in these 21 years, I could not see an improved player than Maradona,” he added.

All India Football Federation (AIFF) may be subject to penalties for violations, said sources. All AIFF vice-president Subrata Dutta and AIFF secretary Alberto Colaco was also present at the function.

The valid trophy made of 18 carat gold was exposed in a five star hotel in the presence of former Indian football greats and a wide range of leading soccer trip to the country. Trophy – 36.8 inches high and weighs 6175 grams – has a base with two layers of semi-precious malachite while the foundation carries imprinted year and name of each FIFA World Cup winner since 1974. The three-day musical will enjoy a select arrangement of the FIFA World Cup Trophy in the Salt Lake Stadium on Saturday.
