Rod Blagojevich was Arrested for Political Corruption



Milorad “Rod” Blagojevich born December 10, 1956 is an American politician who served as the 40th Governor of Illinois from 2003 to 2009. A Democrat, Blagojevich was a State Representative before being elected to the United States House of Representatives representing parts of Chicago. He was elected governor in 2002. He is the second Serbian American to be elected governor of any state in the United States after George Voinovich of Ohio.

He graduated from Northwestern University in 1979 and earned his law degree from Pepperdine in 1983. Prior to being elected governor, Blagojevich was a Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney.

The twice elected former governor of Illinois asserts he is innocent of all charges and looks forward to his day in court. In the meantime, he’s not holding back. He’s not playing politics or playing nice. He’s simply speaking his mind and telling the truth.
He increased the funds for education and was also criticized because of didn’t increase the general tax rather than he took these funds from the state pension. He also announced a school for small children age 3 and 4 in the year 2006.

He also gave a proposal of three billion for the infrastructure in Illinois by the funds raised from taxes and lottery games. Rod Blagojevich also appeared in the Daily Show to discuss the matters of illegal drug selling and medical issues in Illinois. He was married to Patricia Mell. He started his career by working as a clerk for Edward. He was then assigned as Assistant States attorney. He used to deal with cases of crime and assault charges.
