Sydney: I will be in Sydney 8 March, as I was last year when I ran a one-day episode for the International Women’s Day. This year one of my much loved organizations, the Women for Women International (WFWI), organized a Bridge Walk (in New York and London) and similar measures with thousands of women all over the world gathered at the bridge from San Francisco to the Congo.
WfWI focuses on women survivors of war and conflict. Women are always in the majority: 70% of the world’s poor are women and 75% of inhabitant wars dead are women and children. WfWI make available the resources to move from emergency and poverty to permanence and independence: they’re changing the world one woman at a time. The idea of the event 8 March is to show that women can construct a bridge to stillness and progress.
Mumbai: To celebrate International Women’s Day, and as part of JetViva program, Jet Airways, India’s important international airline will offer its female travelers and offer extraordinary reward in March 2010.
As part of the same, Effective March 1 to 31 March 2010, each group with at least 1 female travelers who craft bookings on its Web site at jetairways.com, enjoy a 10% reduction on base home prices and a discount of 5% based on international prices (without applicable taxes and fees) for first class, Premiere or Economy journey on all routes operated by Jet Airways or Jet Airways Konnect service.
Bushenyi: In the coming weeks, all roads lead to Bushenyi quarter, where this year’s Women’s celebrations on March 8 will be held.
And as Woman MP for Bushenyi district, I’d like to take this chance to wish all welcome to Kizinda Ishak in the city, where we have collected.
Ishak – a busy and active center of business in the western region – is the company town of Bushenyi quarter and is on the way to Queen Elizabeth National Park and Kasese.
It is the first time since March 8 was gazetted as Women’s Day that Uganda is holding celebrations in Bushenyi district. We agreement in association with the concentration it deserves, and anyone who comes over must be definite a great hospitality.
Mangalore: staff and students in the MSW Department of St. Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangalore renowned International Women’s Day 28 February 2010 Eric Mathias Hall / IT Lecture theater.
The agenda began by invoking God’s permission with a prayer song under the route of MSW students. Later, greeted Ms. Swapna congregation and introduced the company to the audience.
