FBI 10 Most Wanted Fugitives Anniversary list Marks 60 Years



Aimal Kasi has secured a place in the FBI’s ten most wanted fugitives list, Brad Garrett, a mild-mannered but dogged FBI agent out of Washington, wanted him badly. Kasi, a Pakistani, was standing outside the headquarters of the Central Intelligence Agency in Langley, Virginia, in 1993 and systematically opened fire, shooting at the tires, resulting in the killing of two CIA employees and wounding three others.

This Sunday, March 14th, marks the 60th anniversary of the FBI’s creation of the now-famous “10 Most Wanted Fugitives” list. The FBI here in San Antonio has arrested four of the top Ten Most Wanted Fugitives,” said Special Agent Erik Vasys with the FBI’s San Antonio office.

Vasys says the program and fugitive posters has evolved since it was first published back in 1950. He says the FBI continues exploring ways to use the “Ten Most Wanted Fugitives” to alert the community of the criminals.
According to reports on March 14th, the Federal Bureau of Investigation will celebrate 60 years of publishing the faces of those most dangerous men and women making that list of criminals. Special Agent Erik Vasys said that the FBI arrested four of the top Ten Most Wanted Fugitive from San Antonio. He also said that the list was first time published in 1950 and they will continue it because it will help to bring awareness in people.
