Amy Beck, a teacher at David Starr Jordan Middle School, is being accused of having sex and oral sex with a 14-year-old student. The 33-year-old English and social science teacher is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday on four counts of unlawful sex with a person under 16, and one count of oral copulation with a person under 16, according to Contra Costa Times.
David Starr Jordan Middle School teacher Amy Beck, 33, presented herself at the Burbank Police Department on Monday, in the company of her attorney, and confessed to sex crimes with a minor. She was booked on suspicion of lewd and lascivious acts with a child of 14.
“She said she had sexual relations with one of her students,” Quesada said. Police interviewed the boy “and confirmed that the acts did occur” between March and September of 2009. The California middle school English teacher, who admitted to having sex with a young man over a period of six months, and sent on Tuesday with unlawful sex, officials confirmed.

Burbank police spokesman Keith Sterling reports that Beck is being held on $175,000 bail. Her attorney Michael Williamson indicates that she doesn’t plan to post bail and will remain in jail. Her next hearing is set for March 25, 2010.
