The 55th Annual Film Fare Awards have kick-started at Yash Raj Studios, Mumbai. This time, starlit night to honor films released during between 2009 to 2010. The Film Fare Awards were given to the best Bollywood film released between the years 2009-10.
According to reports, A-list of Bollywood is already arrived – Genelia D’Souza dressed in a Christian Dior outfit has set high hopes for the night. Anurag Kashyap is involved with boyfriend Kalki Koechlin. Anurag film Dev D has won the nomination for best film. And Kalki has won the nomination for Best Debut Actress.
The maximum The 55th Annual Film Fare Awards ware obtained to supper duper hit movie “3 Idiots” team. The film has won the award for best film, best director, and in 4 other categories. Grammy-winner AR Rahman won the best music director award for “Delhi 6″.
Superstar Amitabh Bachchan won the ‘Best Actor’ for The 55th Annual Film Fare Awards in a leading role (male) for ‘Paa’ . Vidya Balan won the ‘Best Actor’ award in a leading role (Female) for the same film, ‘Paa’. Amitabh Bachchan was not present to receive the prize at The 55th Annual Film Fare Awards. Vidya Balan accepted the trophy in Amitabh’s absence. 3 Idiots main star Aamir Khan bagged six prizes.
The beautiful Katrina Kaif, who wanted a Film Fare award, was left disappointed again when Vidya Balan walked away with top honors.
Mohit Chauhan won the award for best male playback singer for the song “Masakali” from the film “Delhi 6″, while the female playback singer honors were shared by Kavita Seth and Rekha Bhardwaj.
While Kavita was awarded to the song “Ik Tara” from the movie “Wake Up Sid”, Rekha won the trophy for the song “GENDA phool” from the film “Delhi 6″.
Among the other highlights of the evening was a tribute to legendary pop singer Michael Jackson of Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor who charmed the audience with her perfect dance moves.
