John Andrew Boehner born November 17, 1949 is a Republican American politician who is currently serving as the House Minority Leader in the 111th Congress. He serves as a U.S. Representative from Ohio’s 8th congressional district, which includes several rural and suburban areas near Cincinnati and Dayton and a small portion of Dayton itself.
John Boehner was born in Chicago to Mary Anne (Hall) and Earl Henry Boehner as one of 12 brothers and sisters. He has lived in Southwest Ohio his entire life. He graduated from Cincinnati’s Moeller High School in 1968, when US involvement in the Vietnam War was at its peak.
