BANGALORE: Sania Mirza has not had the best start to the 2010 season – on and off the field. A broken service games is one thing, but a broken exposure or a broken heart is another.
Earlier this week, the 23-year-old father of Imran who coaches and manages Sania’s career, blasted his daughter’s engagement to Mohammed Sohrab Mirza. Sania was formally engaged with other Hyderabadi and lifelong friend, now studying business in the United Kingdom, at a luxury hotel near his home in July last year.
The Indian star categorically refused to get into the why and what of the case but confirmed her engagement was off. “We were friends for half a decade, but was incompatible us during our engagement period. Sohrab I want the best in life,” she said.
The two were engaged, made the rounds of questions about Muhammad could meet the requirement for life-partner for a broad left, immensely popular athlete. Sania, who has struggled with the differences in the past few months, has not taken a break-up and her results correctly. But she does what she always does in times of crisis – surround themselves with family and friends.
