The program was part of the trip prepared by the Federation Internationals de Football Association (FIFA or the International Football Association), soccer’s leading body, to take the award around 86 countries to give football fans a chance to see the World Cup trophy. The tour began its flight from FIFA head office in Zurich 21 September 2009 and ends in South Africa, May 4, 2010.
