NEW DELHI: India has expressed dismay over the continued attacks on its nationals in Australia and spread to cities such as Brisbane, where two of these incidents were reported Thursday night
Despite receiving assurances from the highest levels in Canberra for the safety and security of Indians, especially students in the community, “said New Delhi it was worrying that the attacks continued.

Most of the attacks took place in Melbourne, followed by a couple in Sydney, but despite government assurances, two Indians have been attacked in Brisbane, quoted government sources. The Indian High Commission in Australia and consulates were in constant contact with authorities and was providing all possible assistance to the victims, they say.
The sources said Foreign Minister SM Krishna had asked the Australian government to act tough and show India the results of investigations of previous incidents. If events continue to bilateral ties in some areas, particularly education and tourism payments to Australia will be affected, Mr. Krishna warned
