Chevrolet Beat Launch in India



The Auto Expo 2010 starting on January 5 at the Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, is going to hit the headlines for the sheer number of new cars and launches.

GM has launched the Chevrolet Beat in India ahead of the Delhi Motor Show. Production started mid-December 2009 at GM’s Talegaon plant, which will export 20% of its output by the end of this year. India is one of the first few markets to get the Beat; it’s not yet launched in Europe and North America, where it will replace the Daewoo Matiz based Spark and take over that nameplate. The Beat will be sold alongside the old Spark in India.

Chevrolet India has launched their new small car Beat in the Indian market today. The very talented small new Chevvy has been priced at a shocking Rs 3.34 Lakhs for the base model with power steering and A/C as standard.

The Chevrolet Beat is expected to produce mileage between 14 km/liter within the city and 18 km/liter on highways.
