2010 Hockey World Cup is the twelfth installment of the Men’s Hockey World Cup. 14. November 2007 up to date the International Hockey Federation (FIH), the championship would be held in India, which takes place over two weeks from February 28 to 13 March 2010, New Delhi’s National Stadium Dhyan Chand.
Three World Cup qualifying tournaments will be held in 2009 and 2010 total. Pakistan won the first tournament, held in Lille, France from October 31 to 8 November 2009. Pakistan beat Japan 3-1 in a hard fought battle. Abdul Haseem Khan scored the first and only field goal for Pakistan, while the penalty corner expert and wide flick master Sohail Abbas met Mark twice. The hosts, New Zealand, won the second tournament were held in Invercargill, New Zealand from November 7 to 15 November 2009. The third tournament was played in Copenhagen; Argentina from November 14 to November 22, 2009 was won by the hosts, Argentina.
