Recall of Toyota and Lexus models which made between 2004_2010 causes of safety, they recall soon 3.8 million cars from all Toyota car users. Due to some car accident cases which done by pedal of accelerator get stuck in floor mates of car which done in certain car models, and other reason of accident cause of shut off cars with keyless ignitions, that’s why they are asking to remove it and not to replace floor mates with Toyota or other brand. • 2004-2009 Prius
• 2005-2010 Tacoma
• 2007-2010 Tundra
• 2007-2010 ES 350
• 2006-2010 IS 250 and IS350
Cause of similar problem with Toyota Camry and Lexus ES350 by all-weather floor mates in 2007-2008 Toyota has recalled these models on September 2007. Complaints of unintended acceleration in this Toyota and Lexus models and in other models also.
Toyota will follow up NHTSA safety alert with its largest ever recall in the U.S. as soon as it has a solution figured out. In the mean time, if you own one of the above vehicles, your government would like you to play it safe and remove the driver-side floor mat. Now we have to wonder, who’s going to pay the rather large bill for cleaning the carpet in thousands of vehicles that got their foot wells dirty from having no floor mats?
