The result of yesterday’s Siliguri Municipal Corporation elections will start pouring in from 11 in the morning.
Rajat Saini, the sub divisional officer of Siliguri, said: “The counting of votes from those who are up for election duty starts at 9 and that the electronic voting machines will begin an hour later. The census will be held in three rooms, Siliguri College, where 80 people will be recruited in 33 tables. ”
There will be 12 rounds of counting and the results will begin to flow in from 11, said Saini. We expect the count to be taken over by the 3pm.

Sikkim bypoll
Binod Rai of the ruling Sikkim Democratic Front won Namchi-Singithang Assembly bypoll, beating his nearest Congress candidate.
Rai bagged 4930 votes against Congress Youa Raj Rai, who was the 590th seat fell vacant after the Chief Minister Pawan Chamling, who had won from two seats retained Poklok-Kamrang, let the Namchi-Singithang constituency. The bypoll was held on 10 September.
