A spokeswoman for DJ AM has just issued the following statement: “Adam” DJ AM Goldstein was found dead this afternoon in his New York apartment. The circumstances surrounding his death are unclear. Out of respect for his family and loved ones, must respect their privacy at this at a time.
Law enforcement sources tell us that DJ AM - aka Adam Goldstein - was found dead this afternoon in New York City.
Sources said that he found in his apartment at around 5:20. We are told the production of narcotic substances were found at the crime scene.
Our sources said DJ AM had not seen or heard from a few days – one of his friends came to see him, but got no response after knocking on his apartment door.
We told the friend called police, who had access to his apartment and found the body.
Back in September 2008, DJ AM and Travis Barker survived a plane crash in South Carolina. Four people were killed in the accident – which was triggered when the plane aborted take-off and then ran out of runway. DJ AM and Barker were the only survivors.
